Further to the fire which broke out at The Osborne View in February 2024, the pub remains closed.

Hall & Woodhouse is committed to the rebuilding of The Osborne View to restore the pub to its former role within the local community. We want to provide reassurance that while our plans to rebuild are progressing, the timescales for redevelopment are currently being determined. In the meantime, we regularly have contractors on site to maintain the safety of our premises.

Thank you for your continued patience and we will provide an update on plans to reopen the pub to guests when we are able to.

Temporarily Closed

A serious fire broke out at The Osborne View in Fareham in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 22nd February).

Thankfully, all team onsite evacuated before coming to any harm. The wellbeing of all those affected is our primary concern and we will be providing support and reassurance to all who require it.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were quickly in attendance and are helping to bring the fire under control. We would like to pass on our deepest gratitude to the emergency crews for their swift action and bravery.

We will be supporting the emergency services fully in any forthcoming investigation into the cause of the fire.
